This lovely old rug was hand made in the Sahara Desert region of Algeria, some 500-600kms south of Algers. The design, woven in wool and cotton, is extremely intricate and reflects the Berber traditions of the region. Hand loomed on a cream cotton base, it is in nice vintage condition with soft fading and small restorations throughout
