This original old weaving comes from the small region where the Sahara meets the High Atlas Mountains and is woven in pure wool in subtle shades typical of the kilims produced by the tribes of the area. The kilim is now sun-faded with muted cool aubergine, sage green, and orange tints that have softened over time. There is a knotted-pile composition that was woven as an integral part of the flat-weave design, which seems to ‘float’ over the fine horizontal bands. In good vintage condition with a few areas of visible artisan repair at one end
