An old and highly covetable handwoven blanket from the High Atlas region. Created in very finely handspun wool, it was originally used as a robe or shawl. This highly creative and beautifully crafted piece derives its charm from the excellent workmanship and the gorgeously balanced stripes - woven in undyed cream and dark brown hues. The fringes are exquisitely tiny - hand-rolled and tied. In lovely condition, there are a few small visible marks as well as three areas of fine darning in this historic piece
