A very original rug from central Morocco that is rich in tribal artistry, and is a lovely example of creative weaving for a domestic sleeping rug. The pure wool pile is soft and flexible and is now subtly worn in places and with some repairs. A lively narrative is woven into the rug, including human figures (which is not highly common in Berber rugs), angular old motifs and a fluid chain of irregular squares swimming through the piece from end to end
