This lovely old carpet from central Morocco has a time-worn patina with a soft blanket-like feel. It has a complex yet balanced design, with a detailed composition using a whole host of variants on the Berber lozenge and diamond motifs as well as small heart shaped symbols. The 100% wool pile on a goat’s wool warp is in nice condition with pile wear and one visible restoration.
