Originally woven as a grain sack (it would have been folded and then sewn up), now opened up and washed, this is a beautiful, intricately crafted, sturdy wool-and-cotton flatweave. It is in nice vintage condition with clear colours and very fine weaving, and there are one or two very small restorations in the centre
