A spectacular and rare old kilim or ‘hanbel’ created in pure fine wool and featuring a combination of delicate flatweave and knotted pile, with the knotted pile deployed to create a design of chains of Berber lozenge symbols along with figures of females. The colour palette is deep and soft with the ground being a ruby red, complimented by dark pink and light tangerine, outlined in black. In nice vintage condition, there are 10-15 visible, ncey done. repairs
