From the small region where the Sahara meets the High Atlas Mountains, this vintage kilim is woven in pure wool in soft, subtle shades typical of the weavings produced by the isolated tribes of the area. With beautiful sun-faded hues, the aubergine, tangerine, and sage green hues have softened over time, and the knotted pile composition that was woven as an integral part of the flat weave design seems to ‘float’ over the fine horizontal bands.
