A handwoven vintage rug from the region close to Morocco’s Atlantic coast near the Moroccan capital Rabat. The composition is inspired by urban rugs from Rabat and the surrounding zone; however, it is very much a domestic rug with a strong design confidence. Woven in cotton and wool, its base is recycled man-made grain bags – another sign of its rural household origins. In nice vintage condition, there is some light pile wear - as is to be expected. The colours remain nice and clear
