A beautiful circa 1970s 100% pure wool hand-woven rug with very lovely intricate detailing, with the entire field filled with small and finely balanced Berber square and block-cross motifs (the latter symbol sometimes known as ‘partidge eyes’ or bird). A strong sense of geometry arises from the border composition that contains the main design, which features classic Berber cross symbols. Very well made and well used over time, this genuine old rug has some wear throughout and some visible and well-executed restorations at either end in the flat weave fringes
