A glorious vintage rug from the Ait Youssi tribal weavers (from the Middle Atlas mountain ranges) , created in thick, tight, and dense 100% wool knotted pile with bold, saturated colours. The Berber lozenge grid has been created by a steady hand, and each even lozenge is carefully filled with an unbalanced cross motif. Warm red, deep pink, tangerine and touches of charcoal form the principal colour story. This original carpet is in superb condition, with the faintest graduation to lighter tones at one end
