This lovely vintage Beni Ouarain carpet is packed full of motifs, with an emphasis on the ‘female’ lozenge network. Yet it also introduces a strong ‘male’ influence with its crosses and ladder motifs. This gorgeous carpet is knotted in a high pile of warm buttercream and dark brown 100% wool, with a shaggy feel. The pile is an excellent quality double twist, and this rug is in nice condition with some subtle marks on the reverse and soft henna marking in the fringe. The overall feel of this rug leams to dark cream and brown hues, rather than ivory, and the design is woven in dark brown and fawn-grey
