This original vintage Azilal rug displays a confident and bold design based on the Berber lozenge symbol, and is woven in a palette of burgundy, black, aqua, and cream. Light and dark are nicely balanced in this striking composition. Woven in cotton on a cotton and wool base, it is in nice vintage condition with expected gentle wear in places, including one lozenge motifs where the wool has wool away (very common in old pieces since wool wear faster than cotton) adding to its vintage personality
