This beautifully and original circa 1970s large Chiadma ( in the region east of Safi and Essaouira.in central Morocco) carpet exhibits a beautifully lively approach with the exuberant use of warm tangerine and blood orange and a harlequin-like composition of chevron motifs, with a central beautifully woven lozenge symbol. The design is bordered by 'male' motif chains that accentuate the long proportions of the rug, likely woven for tent use. 100% pure wool. Some nibbling in the fringe
