ABOUT US
We buy genuine, old handwoven tribal rugs and carpets. A husband and wife team, we feel in love with moroccan textiles during our trips to the Middle Atlas region of Morocco. We started to buy a few pieces, kept some and sold some. We grew to know what what pieces were autentic, well made and valuable. We now ship moroccan tribal rugs, kilims and tent cushions worldwide. By trading mostly on this web site we keep our costs down, so that you can buy beautiful items at fair prices - and we describe them honestly.
We buy fairly. We never buy from tourist markets - rather we buy from the weavers' family or small village markets or auctions. We don't buy from co-operatives set up to reproduce old berber designs for export.
We hope that you will fall in love with the organic beauty of the tribal textiles that come from this wonderful country. Please remember that most of our pieces are authentic tribal items and will have some wear.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read the following carefully, as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and set out the terms under which Maroc Tribal makes the products available to you.
Prices: The prices payable for the items that you order are shown in the web site. We try to ensure that the prices are current at all times, however we reserve the right to change the price we will charge you, provided that we notify you before we dispatch the item concerned. All prices are expressed inclusive of any VAT payable unless otherwise stated. The price of the items does not include the delivery charge which will be charged at the rates applicable at the date you place your order and which will be displayed. Contact us for shipping costs for any order totalling over 20kgs, as this total cannot be calculated through the online ordering servce.
Availability: If we are unable to supply a particular item, we will tell you as soon as possible.
Cancellation: You can cancel your order up to 3 calendar days after the day following the order, by advising us by e-mail (at info@maroctribal.com). In the event that the goods have already been dispatched at the date of receipt of your cancellation of the order, you must return the goods to us at the specified address within 7 calendar days and we will credit you with the price of the goods, minus shipping and handling costs expended and Paypal and /or bank transfer costs already paid by us. The 7 day period will begin with the day on which notice of cancellation was given. The cost of return carriage must be borne by you. Goods must be reutrned to us in the condition they were when dispatched.
If you do not return the goods to us in good condition within 7 days of your notice of cancellation your payment will not be refunded. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Delivery: All items are sent from Cambridge, UK. Delivery will be made to the address specified by you on the completed order form at the price quoted at the time of booking. You must also supply a postal address on any Paypal payments. All deliveries are by a courier selected by us.
We try our very best to secure delivery within 1 week of the date of your order but shall not be liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery arising out of any cause beyond our control. If we cannot deliver within this time we shall notify you. If we cannot agree an alternative date for delivery, you will be offered a refund of the cost of the goods and the delivery charge.
Acceptance: There will be no contract of any kind between you and us unless and until we actually dispatch the goods to you. Your order is an offer to buy from us. Nothing that we do or say will amount to any acceptance of that offer until we actually dispatch the goods to you. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason. At the moment that the goods are dispatched (and not before), a contract will be made between you and us. Order status may be checked at the address given in the confirmation email.
Payment: Maroc Tribal is a safe site. You can pay via Paypal using Mastercard or Visa credit card, and debit cards. Your details will be encrypted by Paypal to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure.
These Trading Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts.
If any of these Trading Terms is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Trading Terms which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law, provided any contract made under these Trading Terms is capable of continuing in existence.
